My #1 cheesesteak spot in OC. And trust me I've tried them all! Franks is always on point with flavor and portion size. Get the Franks Choice and you won't regret it.

Staff is always super friendly too.

This is my go to spot when I want a nice big meal.

Frank's Choice: No banana bell pepper. Asked for provolone, but swiss cheese was used instead.

BBQ Philly: Asked for lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles. Didn't receive any of that.

At least the extra charged mushroom was added for both?

I'm pretty sure the guy that took my order was the one that started this mess up. I overheard the cook asking what kind of cheese and he said swiss. When I asked if both will be provolone cheese, he told me yes. This was my favorite place to go to. Never coming back.

The staff were very nice and the service is good.

The Cheeseteak was underwhelming. The bread decent. The quality of the meat was fine. The cooking and seasoning were off and just did not deliver. If I were back in Philadelphia this would be pretty bad - for the OC its ok.

Its hard to pinpoint exactly what was missing in the sandwich. The uneven distribution of cheese was a big problem and the cheese type wasnt great.

The french fries were pretty good, the onion rings were mediocre.

Its expensive. For two people - 2 sandwiches, 2 drinks, 1 onion ring and 1 french fry was $35.00 ($40 with tip). I would not have minded if the food delivered. But it was incredibly lackluster.

    My companion felt the same.

2  star cheesteaks (plus 1 star for service and french fries)

There are great examples in SoCal - Philly West bar and grill in Westwood is one. Still looking for the comparable version in the OC.

I've actually been eating these cheesesteaks for the past decade now and it was until recently that I made it into the restaurant. My company always had them delivered on special occasions so I never got the pleasure of visiting. I've set a reminder on my calendar to come here quarterly so that I can get my filling. These damn sandwiches are well worth the caloric roll that my body must endure. I can't say they taste authentic as I've never been to Philly, but I can say that they are one of the best cheesesteaks I've ever had. So delicious and cheesy. Check it out!

Great local favorite! This place is awesome, been there for years and the flavor is always good. I like the Works and the breakfast sandwiches with everything.
